This is a helpful list of Acronym's that I have compiled that is commonly used in Neverwinter nights and other games/gamers.
To find an acronym quickly press CTR+F and type it in.
Please Note: avoid using Acronym's when Role-playing.
NWN Acronym's (commonly seen in NWN)
OOC - or (( )) - Out of Character
-Used when saying something out of character, when you the player want to say something. Please try not to use whenever possible, but we understand that a higher level of communication is sometimes necessary.
*Its Polite to use OOC before most acronyms while playing Never winter
Example: OOC- I need to be right back.
IC - In Character. This is rarely used except in the transition from OOC talk to IC talk. DM's will ask you to please return to IC if you OOC too much.

PnP - Pen and Paper
RL - Real Life
NWN - Never Winter Nights
NWN2 - Never Winter Nights2
SoU - Shadows of Undrentide
HotU - Hordes of the Underdark

Multiplayer Acronyms
OP- Original Poster
MMORPG - Massive multiplayer on-line role playing game
Mob - Monster
Inc - incoming
Add/BAF - additional monster/bring a friend
Agro/hate -Target of the "monster/player" (the monster doesn’t like you)
PvP - Player vs Player
PvE - Player vs monster
PK - Player killer
Spawn- place where a monster/npc are created into the world.
Disc/LC/LD- Disconnect - Lost Connection - Line Dead
Nerf - Reduce something, a skill/weapon to make things more balanced. (usually used while complaining)
Buff - buff spell/enhancement spell
DoT - Damage over time
PL - Power level
XP - Experience points
Alt - Alternate character
Main - Main character
LFG - looking for group
Train - more than 1-2 monsters/players attacking you/something.
Zone - An area in the world
WTB - willing to buy
WTS - Willing to sell
WTT - Willing to trade
RPG - Role playing game
ninja (looter) - Steal's the treasure/item usually doesn’t belong to them.
Loot- in game Treasure/item
Common Acronyms
AFK- Away from keyboard.
BRB - be right back
Bio - Bathroom
QFT - Quoted for Truth
IMO - In my opinion
FTW - For the Win
FTL - For the Lose
GG - Good Game
GJ - Good Job
GL - Good Luck
WTG - Way to go (can be sarcastic)
Below are other gaming acronym's/slang that some can be hurtful, and we try not to use.
Noob - New Player
l33t - Elite (hacker term)
uber - (slag) Awesome, better/best than someone else/thing.
WTF - What the ....
STFU - Shut the ... up
